Our House is a movement for people-powered democracy.
Our mission is to transform politics by building a democracy that gives everyone the power to shape our future. A future that works for communities, because it was designed by communities.
We do this through People's Charters: communities' demands for the changes they want to see in how local and national politics works.
We're supporting communities build their People's Charters across the Four Nations of the UK, so that the new democracy we build together represents all of us. We're starting with the communities with the lowest turn out in the 2024 General Election, who have lost faith in politics, but not in each other.
We are an alliance of democracy practitioners, creatives, community organisers, storytellers, activists, and campaigners building the scaffolding for a people-powered democracy. Our House is fiscally hosted by the Social Change Nest and has charitable sponsorship from the Movements Trust.
